Try to install redis using helm chart it take default secrets not taking existing secerts
Hi, I tried deploying redis using helm and I could also notice that the redis nodes are taking the default secrets of its own from the chart-configuration and not from secrets even though ‘existingSecret: redis-config' parameter is added in the yaml file.
Docker image of the redis bitnami version - bitnami/redis
Helm chart version - redis-17.3.5
Docment we follow for this - https://bitnami.com/stack/redis/helm
Docker image of the redis stable version - stable/redis
Helm chart version - redis-10.5.7
Docment we follow for this - https://git.app.uib.no/caleno/helm-charts/tree/fbbc551e33cceda35d67d0384bd90293c3240659/stable/redis
we are using deploy.sh file for depoly the redis #! /bin/bash ENV=$1 helm install nq-redis-stage bitnami/redis --values values-production.yaml -n nq-stage
and values-production.yaml
usePassword: true
usePasswordFile: true
existingSecret: redis-config
cluster:
enabled: false
persistence:
enabled: false
We have already created a secrect for this by using redis.yml file
apiVersion: v1 data: REDIS_PASSWORD: Mjk4QnRiSkV2V0tZNXFTWVZHemphc0hMRkVl REDIS_URL: bnEtcmVkaXMtc3RhZ2UtbWFzdGVyLm5xLXN0YWdlLnN2 redis-password: Mjk4QnRiSkV2V0tZNXFTWVZHemphc0hMRkVl kind: Secret metadata: name: redis-config namespace: nq-stage type: Opaque
But at the time of helm deployment redis is not taking this secret and it take its own
nq-redis-stage Opaque 1 18h nq-redis-stage-token-q9xwk kubernetes.io/service-account-token 3 18h redis-config Opaque 3 22h sh.helm.release.v1.nq-redis-stage.v1 helm.sh/release.v1 1 18h
Thats is we are geting wrong password .Is there any way to solve this.
